Advisory Board has featured VillageMD’s approach to primary care in a research report entitled, “Innovative Players Shaping Care Delivery Competition: Eight sources of emerging disruption.” The four-part series provides an overview of the major trends and innovative players emerging in the domains of convenient care, primary care, specialty care, and payer networks. VillageMD was one of the key players highlighted in part 2 of the series, which focuses on primary care groups that are creating a direct-pay market by offering concierge-level services and/or partnering with payers to manage patients with polychronic health needs.
